Taylor & Andy

I know Taylor from when we worked together at First Bank a few years ago and I was melancholy when she left to move to Missouri to be with Andy. Needless to say, it was a treat when she was back in town for her wedding. Taylor is a vivacious personality and it was a pleasure to see her and Andy have such a wonderful time with their friends and families.

Enjoy.

Deanna & Neil: Engaged

These pictures were scheduled to be taken a few weeks ago in November, but we had to reschedule on account of the howling winds. I knew we were taking a chance with the weather, but I also knew that nothing could mess up a session with two people who are so obviously enamored with each other like Deanna and Neil. In the end, we got luckier than we could have imagined.

Carrie & Chris: Married

Carrie and Chris had the combination of a beautiful day and all of their friends last Saturday. The ceremony was at St. Malachy in Rantoul, with a reception at the IHotel. It seemed like most of the Rantoul Class of ’07 was there in force and I enjoyed taking pictures of great people having great fun all night long.

A few to whet your appetites:

Meredith & Dave: Married

Meredith and Dave brought their formidable skills to their wedding day. They laughed and loved sharing time with friends and family all day long. Everyone had a great time at dinner and on the dance floor.

Here are a few:

Mandy & Mike: Married

I know that I sometimes throw around phrases like “hottest day of the year,” but Saturday really was the hottest day of the year. I know this because my phone told me so. Nonetheless, I had the pleasure of taking pictures for Mandy and Mike, whose engagement session I did back in October. Mandy and Mike were laughing all the time, as usual, and we had a great meal and reception at The Beef House in Covington, IN.

Tracy & Jason: Married

Last Saturday was a scorcher and we all tried to stay cool during Tracy and Jason’s wedding. The bride and groom wanted some outdoor photos at Meadowbrook Park, which went great, but everyone was so warm afterwards that we dropped into The Esquire before heading to the reception.

Rebecca & Dan: Married

It might have been the hottest day of the year on Sunday, but nothing was going to deter Rebecca and Dan from throwing a great party. The ceremony was at beautiful McKinley Presbyterian on campus, and then the bride and groom braved the heat for a few photos on the Quad. The reception featured a mob of mustaches, though I’m still not exactly sure why. Mine not to wonder why, so forth.

Meredith & Dave: Engaged

Meredith and Dave came out to campus to take some pictures last weekend. We took some photos on the quad and finished just before thunderstorms rolled in. Being a man of good taste, Dave suggested we go to Murphy’s for a pint and a few pictures. After the rain stopped the light was so nice that I made them come back out for one more picture.

Here are a few:

Amber & Aaron: Married

Amber and Aaron’s wedding was a great example of how a moment in life can bring people together. First it was Aaron’s friends showing up from Toronto, and then his Aunt and Grandmother made a surprise entrance all the way from Costa Rica. The dinner and party at Refinery was sumptuous and bursting with salsa dancing. By the end of the night I had seen so many hugs and happy tears that I felt blessed to be able to do what I do.

Ashley & Jesse: Married

Ashley and Jesse’s wedding featured so many happy, loving people and I had a simply wonderful time capturing them all. The ceremony and reception were at CityView in downtown Champaign, which is a great spot to capture wonderful people against a beautiful backdrop. Here are a few that I like.
